Product Details

Purchase a tote bag featuring the photograph "Expect Revolution" by Ed Weidman.   Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

Artist's Description

Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is the name given to a protest movement that began on September 17, 2011, in Zuccotti Park, located in New York City's Wall Street financial district. This date may be disputed with a likely trigger event as early as August 1, 2011, as a nude[citation needed] artist performance "Ocularpation: Wall Street" followed by arrests on Wall Street occurred while protesting American financial institutions.[7][8]

The Canadian, anti-consumerist, pro-environment group/magazine, Adbusters initiated the call for a protest. The ensuing series of events helped lead to media awareness that inspired Occupy protests and movements around the world. In awarding Workhouse its Platinum Award, industry publication PRNews noted "The results, obviously, have been spectacular. There�s hardly a newspaper, Internet or broadcast media outlet that hasn�t covered OWS."[9]
